5/10/10

I didn't get to blog last week due to my show choir trip to the beach to perform at the Alabama Theater, but on the days I was here last week I worked on my game and trying to work through the codes to create as much as the game I can as fast as possible seeing how a graduate in a few weeks. Wish me luck.

4-26-10 to 4-30-10

This week we work on making the video for the Food Bank project. Doing this was fun but it piles more work on top of what I need to do on my WikiPage. My video was more cheerful than sad because I think that FoodBank helping people is a good thing not a bad thing.

4/22/10

This week I have been working on my game and getting everything updated on my profile. Something were kind of challenging to understand what goes there but I had some help and ended up getting everything done. It took a few days to get the information up on the page plus get the videos and the flash games on there but I did it.

5/11/10-5/16/10

This whole week I have been working on my paper prototype and now I get to start working on making the video of it for my page. "Space Man" is really coming along great I like the ideas that I had and hope that I can do what I can to turn it into a game.

5/11/10-5/15/10

This week I have been working on my paper prototype. It's been going pretty well and I have been working pretty hard on it. The name of th game is "Space Man". It is of a guy traveling through space to save the world go through mazes and shooting aliens. When I start to make the game if I can make the anamation good enough it may be a pretty fun game. As I keep working on my game I will blog more about it.

3/29/10-4/1/10

This week we made a timer and it was a little hard. I got confused on where thing need to go so I needed a little help, it then worked. I am now starting my paper prototype, I'm still on the fence on what I am going to do my game on but I think I have an idea. It may take a couple months to make but I will do my best.

Sprite

This week we worked on a sprite and it was pretty cool. Doing more hands on activities like that really help rather than trying to get through the things myself. I watched the videos on flash and learned how to sort of work my way through Flash. Since I watched those it really helpped with what I needed to do.

Week 3/15/10-3/19/10

To start off the week we were all pumped to make a new game and have more of a chance in win a laptop but now the plans have changed those that have made a civic engament game can not particapaite in the making of a new game for this new contest which is everyone but me. The only way I can win one of these laptops is if I am a team by myself. Maybe I can get help from the other students since I really don't know much of anything in the making of a video game.

This week I've been working on getting my page set up and add friends to my blog so I can comment thier progression of the other students. Seeing how far they have got will push me more and more to catch up. This week we are picking teams for a new game to design but I have no idea who to team up with.

week and review 2/1/10-2/7/10

I finally got everything moving on the game. I had to have the teachers help but I only had a few miner problems. Instead of putting the word "Key" I put "Kewy" all we had to do was go back in to the actions code and erase the w's. It so long to finish because we didn't have school for so long. Not having school for a while makes me forget some things expecially if I've only done them for a few days before, but things are on their way and I'm starting to learn more and more on how hard it is to design a video game.

week and review 1/22/10-1/29/10

At the start of this week I had no idea what I was getting into. I had no idea that this class was going to be this hard to understand. I am starting to pick up on things but still very hard to pick up what the codes mean. The students around me help me if I ask them to because they know more than I do. The first video game was kind of complicated, I didn't understand how to get the bunny to move around. This being my first week and not knowing much really is hard but I'm sure I will pick up on the codes and learn more about them.
